04-May-2001The new stars of Indian cricket, middle order batsman VVS Laxman ofHyderabad and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh of Punjab are looking forward towinning a Test series overseas with the Zimbabwe tour starting from May 28.”We are all looking forward to winning a Test series overseas as I think weare in the right frame of mind after our success against the Australians athome recently”, Laxman told PTI after signing a three-year contract withSporting Frontiers India Limited (SFIL) in Mumbai on Friday. “I would havebeen much happier if we had won the one-day series as well but missed doingso by a whisker”, he added.Laxman, who averred that it was an honour to be associated with a companywhich has the Australian captain Steve Waugh on its list, said he was veryhappy to keep up his promise (that he would establish himself as a playerin both Tests and one-dayers) which he made to the press during thethree-day game at Nagpur against the visiting Aussies earlier this year.’Turbanator’ Harbhajan Singh, the only Indian to have taken a hat-trick inTests so far, said both he and Laxman were practicing very hard to do wellin Zimbabwe. “Our wish is to win a Test series outside India”, he added.Stating that he was happy to be associated with Sporting Frontiers,Harbhajan said the coach and manager would look after the players on thefield while "the Sporting Frontiers would look after us (Harbhajan andLaxman) off it."
