Andy Blignaut has become the latest of Zimbabwe’s so-called rebels to return to the fold, signing a new contract to play after ten months on the international sidelines.Blignaut had been involved in talks designed at getting the rebels back on board, but decided not to wait for those to be concluded and returned unconditionally. "I would like to play the game for Zimbabwe at international level," he said, "and prove myself so that I can move up the rankings."Blignaut, who unsuccessfully tried to forge a new career with Tasmania this winter, could be rushed back into action later this week in the third and final A-team Test against Bangladesh. Initially, he will be considered for selection as a specialist batsman, although he should be able to bowl as soon as he regains full fitness.
