Arfield was a man who impressed, and the Gers supporters were quick to praise his display against the Accies.

The two goals he scored showed just how much of an influence he had on the game. Steven Gerrard will no doubt be delighted with his performance.

The fans fans particularly enjoyed his second goal.

It truly was a fantastic hit from the 31-year-old – and it was distinctly better than his first, which he netted only after his penalty was initially saved.

The former Burnley man has often played on the right wing this term, but clearly he should be playing more centrally after performances like this.
