Real Madrid's No.1 has been tipped to take the gong after a stellar season with the Spanish giants that saw him become a Champions League winner

The nominees for the best goalkeeper of the past season have been confirmed with the 2022 Yachine Trophy set to be awarded during the Ballon d'Or ceremony later this year.

Paris Saint-Germain shot-stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma scooped the 2021 prize on the back of Italy's European Championship triumph, with Chelsea's Edouard Mendy finishing second in the final vote.

However, Thibaut Courtois is the man to beat this time around. The Real Madrid net-minder finally added the Champions League trophy to his glittering CV as the Blancos stormed to a 14th European title – and he even earned the Man of the Match award after their final victory over Liverpool.
